SMS Messaging Consent
How we use text messages to keep you informed about your studio activity.
What Messages Will I Receive?
QuickStudio sends you a short text when something in your QuickStudio account needs your attention. A notice tells you the category and links to the item:
- your studio sent you a message
- for teachers and studio managers: a new message from a family in one of your conversations
- a lesson was updated
- your studio replied to your request
- an invoice was issued
- a payment update was posted
- a lesson is coming up (a reminder with the day and time)
Notices never contain text written by your studio, and never contain marketing. A lesson reminder shows the lesson's day and time; it never names your child or the teacher. For anything else (the message, the lesson's details or the invoice) you follow the link into your account.
Before you have an account, you may receive one more kind of text: an invitation from your studio, carrying an activation code (see “Who Receives Them”).
Texts come from QuickStudio, which operates the number, about your QuickStudio account.
Who Receives Them
Only adults receive texts: parents, guardians and adult students. Students under 18 are never sent texts, whatever consent is recorded. You receive texts only if you verified that number yourself with a one-time code and ticked the consent box, which is never pre-ticked. The one exception is your invitation: when your studio invites you to QuickStudio, we send one text with an activation code to the number your studio gave us, at your studio's request. It never contains your name. We send at most one a day and three in all. Reply STOP to it to receive no texts at all.
How Is Consent Collected?
Consent to receive SMS messages is collected only via an affirmative opt-in checkbox, in three places: the studio signup form (for studio operators); the account activation flow for people invited by text (invited guardians, students, and payers, after phone number verification via OTP); and Settings → SMS Messages, for anyone who did not opt in earlier, including everyone invited by email.
Consent is not required as a condition of enrollment. You may decline SMS notifications and still use all other features of the platform.
See our SMS Opt-In Flow page for screenshots of the consent UI and a full description of how consent is captured.
Message Frequency
Frequency varies with your studio's activity — typically 10 to 30 messages a month, more if you have several students enrolled. We never send more than 5 texts to a number in one day, or more than one in any 15 minutes. The opt-out line appears on the first text we send to a number, and at least once a month after that.
Rates and Charges
Message and data rates may apply. Please consult your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.
How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any text from QuickStudio (this stops all texts)
- Unticking the text-message box in Settings (this stops all texts)
- Turning off texts for one kind of notice in Settings (this stops only those)
- Asking your studio to stop your texts or turn off those notices for you
- Emailing us at support@quickstudio.me to stop all texts
After you reply STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent. Only you can turn texts back on: your studio and QuickStudio support can turn them off, never on.
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts. To turn them back on, reply START, then tick the text-message box in Settings again (we untick it when we learn you replied STOP). Reply HELP for a description of the program and how to reach us. Stopping texts does not affect your account: your notices still appear in the app, and notices sent by email continue.
